The Final Destination: A Review
47
The Final Destination is, as it sounds, the last movie in the Final Destination series. A young man has a premonition at the race track that there will be a terrible accident causing several deaths in the audience. Portraying his vision to the section closest to him, he is able to rescue himself, his girlfriend and a few others. However, as in the other destination movies, death seems to have a plan that no one can escape. As the survivors begin to die off in the order that they would have died in at the accident, they realize that this has happened before and try to figure out how they can stop death and live it up if it truly is their time to pass on.
The predecessors to this movie were very entertaining, so it was very exciting to get a new release in the series, but sadly, this movie fell way short of the rest. It was a horrendous script with terrible writing that made its characters come across "corny" with plenty of cliches and bad sayings. It was difficult to watch and made you almost want to leave the theater. It was a waste of time and money, and is not recommended that you buy the DVD. It was without a doubt a very disappointing finale to a great series that had some amazing films.
